Joseph Bruno

As a Senior Master Sergeant with more than 35 years in the Air Force, Joe has decided to further his contribution, as a military veteran himself, to helping other service members and their families in recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration to a better life. Because Joe has acquired outstanding operational and directive expertise he was selected as our Patriots Honor Development Manager. Coupled with his years of vast military knowledge and experience he assists in overseeing fundraising activities, tracking donations for Patriots Honor organization and assist organizational event coordination and direction. He also is responsible for contacting and developing relationships with donors and sponsors for fundraising events and creating grant programs for our injured veterans. Work closely with our Patriots Honor Development Director, associates and other staff members to identify potential sources of donations and track the progress of fundraising campaigns. Joe’s position is vital to the organization and represents Patriots Honor while partnering with major corporations to provide the therapy, prosthesis, orthotics, and specialized equipment that are key to enhancing the lives of our combat injured veterans.

Now serving as the Accessories Flight Maintenance Superintendent for the 60th Maintenance Squadron, Travis AFB, California, he ensures back shop specialists, Flight Operations, Maintenance and personnel are synchronized to complete inspections and repairs of three weapons systems, C-5 Galaxy, C-17 Globemaster, and KC-10 Extender. He maximizes expertise of aircraft and personnel to ensure quality maintenance practices and effective use of all resources to ensure mission aircraft availability. Joe employs and trains the best of the best to exceed expectations of today’s Air Force. Joe was born in Long Island, New York and entered the Air Force December 1980. His background includes various duties in aircraft maintenance and operational production at Squadron, Group and Wing levels. Additionally, as a flying crew chief and mission ready aircraft maintainer he supported and generated aircraft support for a multitude of operational missions, which included Operations Southern Watch, Cope Jade, Tandum Thrust, Patriot Angler, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, New Dawn. Inherent Resolve, Freedom Sentinel, Tomadachi, and Odyssey Dawn.

Joe’s influential leadership and mentorship molded with his vast aircraft maintenance background has reinforced the Patriots Honor mission and desire to help our own.

Joe resides in California and has two sons, Joseph and Kevin.
