Senior Master Sergeant Matthew Parker’s overwhelming desire to assist our nations combat injured veterans led to his selection as Patriots Honor Development Manager. Honoring the memories of our fallen, Matt decided to dedicate his time to Patriots Honor and helping the men and women who have sacrificed so much. As a Development Manager Matt is responsible for all fundraising and development activities and will help forge new relationships to build Patriots Honor sponsorships, visibility, impact, and fundraising resources through corporate, foundation, government donations and grants. Working closely with our Patriots Honor Development Director, other Development Managers, associates and staff members he will identify potential sources of donations and sponsorships while tracking the progress of Patriots Honor fundraising campaigns. Vital to the organization, Matt’s position as Development Manager will create funding and sponsorship opportunities while partnering with major corporations to provide the therapy, prosthetics, orthotics, and specialized equipment that are key to enhancing the lives of our combat injured veterans.

Senior Master Sergeant Matthew J Parker is assigned as the Aircraft Maintenance Production Superintendent, 945th AMXS, Travis AFB, California. He is responsible for the management of 13 C-17 aircraft valued at $218 million each. He leads 271 active, civilian, and reserve personnel as a part of Air Mobility Commands largest wing. Enabling the movement of cargo, and personnel in support of Overseas Contingency Operations he additionally is tasked to support routine humanitarian missions across the globe and provide Presidential logistics support and assistance.

Senior Master Sergeant Matthew J Parker was born in Titusville, Florida in 1984 and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2002. His active duty background includes aircraft maintenance on the C-130 Hercules as a Propulsion Mechanic in the 317th Airlift Wing at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. In 2006 he was assigned to the 82nd Airlift Wing at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. In February 2010, SSgt Parker separated from the Air Force and joined the US Air Force Reserve at Travis AFB in California. There he started his career as an Air Reserve Technician in the 749 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron working KC-10 Refueler aircraft. In March 2013, TSgt Parker Transferred to the 945 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron as a Crew Chief on the C-17 Globemaster. Still currently assigned to the 945th, he continually supports the Global War on Terror and the worldwide demand for airlift operations: “Anywhere, Anyplace, Anytime.” During his vast military career, he has deployed in operational missions in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation New Dawn, Operation Odyssey Dawn and Operation Unified Response, Operation Inherent Resolve.

Matt is married to Becca and reside in California their two sons, Zayne and Adrian.
