Ellie Torres

Senior Master Sergeant Eleanor Torres has always provided the heartfelt drive and desire to assist current service members, retired veterans and our Patriots Honor combat injured heroes. Often filling the position as a volunteer during Patriots Honor Nor Cal fundraising events, Ellie was always available help. Today as a member of the Patriots Honor Staff she directly affects the lives of our nations brave service members, our combat injured veterans. Because of Ellie’s in-depth military experience, knowledge of Patriots Honor combat injured programs and the Air Force Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program expertise, she was selected as our Patriots Honor Development Manager for Northern California. The position of Development Manager provides direct support to the Development Director fundraising activities and is a key responsibility for expanding and diversifying the organization’s funding base. In addition, she oversees fundraising activities and recording donations for Patriots Honor organization while contacting and developing relationships with donors, sponsors and corporations. Working closely with other Development Managers and staff members she identifies potential sources of donations and tracks the progress of fundraising campaigns while assisting event coordination and direction. Ellie’s position is vital to the organization and represents Patriots Honor while partnering with major corporations to provide the therapy, prosthesis, orthotics, and specialized equipment that are key to enhancing the lives of our combat injured veterans.

Senior Master Sgt. Eleanor Torres is the Superintendent of Nursing Services, 940th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, Beale Air Force Base, CA. She is responsible for the education and training of the 940 AMDS medical technicians to ensure they maintain readiness & proficiency to support the mission. Sergeant Torres collaborates with the Chief Nurse and Aerospace Medicine Superintendent, in the assignment of technicians to aerospace medical duties based on their skill level and expertise. She manages and directs medical service resources, and coordinates medical service activities with executive and clinical management teams. Senior Master Sgt. Torres enlisted in the Air Force on April 14, 1998. After graduation from Basic training May 1998, she progressed to graduate technical school as a Supply Management Apprentice at Lackland AFB, TX, in August 1998. Torres began her active duty career as a Materiel Management Journeyman with the 9th Supply Squadron, Beale AFB, CA, on September 1998. She was trained in numerous jobs within her logistics specialty, to included, Receiving, Mobility, and Hazardous Materials Technician. In 2002, she made the decision to transition to an equivalent civilian position while she pursued a nursing degree. In March 2004, SMSgt Torres transitioned into the Air Force Reserve, and was assigned to the 940th Aeromedical Squadron, where she cross-trained as an Aerospace Medical Technician. This transition supplemented her nursing degree and a position with the Department of Veterans Affairs. In addition to her job specific duties, Senior Master Sgt. Torres is the 940th Air Refueling Wing’s Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program Representative. She collaborates with 38 other representatives from various bases, to assist military service members and their families with their transition to and from deployments. Her broad military experience and education have ensued her passion to help all service members who currently serve and those who gave.

Ellie’s senior military leadership experience and in-depth program management skills has vitalized the Patriots Honor mission and desire to help our own by “Giving Back to Those Who Gave”.

Ellie currently resides in Roseville, CA, values her faith, and believes her greatest accomplishment is having raised her son, Robert.
