Michael E. Delgiacco

As the Patriots Honor Development Manager, Chief Master Sergeant Michael E. Delgiacco assists in overseeing fundraising activities, recording donations for Patriots Honor nonprofit organization while coordinating Nor Cal fundraising events.

Specifically Mike remains actively involved contacting and developing relationships with donors and sponsors and in creating grant programs. Development Managers and Associates work closely with our Patriots Honor Development Director and other staff members to identify potential sources of donations and track the progress of fundraising campaigns specifically for events. In addition he also works very closely with Patriots Honor Nonprofit volunteers, board members, event committees, alumni, partnering organizations, and funders to not only meet but exceed in honoring, rebuilding and improving the lives of our service members after the devastating effects of war.

Chief Master Sergeant Michael E. Delgiacco Retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2017 with over 37 years faithful service to his country. Now retired and working for the Airlines, Mike has joined the Patriots Honor team providing returning veterans an opportunity to attain dramatic improvement in both physical mobility and mental well-being.

Chief Master Sergeant Michael E. Delgiacco was the acting Superintendent of the 349 Operations Group, Travis AFB CA. As the Group Superintendent, he advised the Group Commander and seven Squadron Commanders on organizing, training, equipping, and developing 350 Airmen from a variety of career fields. He led an enlisted leadership team comprised of nine CEMs and seven First Sergeants in identifying and addressing health, morale, and welfare concerns affecting the quality of life of Airmen assigned to the group and wing. In addition, Chief Delgiacco interpreted and enforced applicable policies and directives and establishes control procedures to meet mission goals and standards. He recommends ways to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency to group commander and ensures assigned personnel and resources are managed in support of the group and wing missions.

Mike has developed deep knowledge of field, core programs, operations, and business plans to execute awareness and assistance our service men, women and families require. For these reasons Mike was specifically selected to the position of Patriots Honor Development Manager.

A native of Braintree, Massachusetts, Chief Delgiacco entered the United States Air Force in 1980. He began his career as an aircraft maintenance technician where he maintained C-5A, C-5B, C-5C and C-141B aircraft. In 1991, he cross-trained as a flight engineer to operate the C-5 aircraft, where he served as an Air Reserve Technician Flight Engineer. In 2005, the Chief transitioned to the KC-10A aircraft. During his career, he has flown more than 9,500 hours in tanker and airlift aircraft.

Mike is married to the former Jessica Caragan of San Francisco, and currently lives in California and has six children.
